I have to admit, not having maternity portraits done myself is one of my biggest regrets. Knowing I'll never again feel a little person growing inside me is sometimes overwhelming. But, it is because of this, maternity portraits are my absolute favourite thing in the world to photograph. I understand the excuses not to have them. "I feel like a whale", "I'm too uncomfortable", "I actually just can't wait to get this little gremlin out of me and forget it ever happened!" haha! all these thing I said myself...
I was so excited when Josie contacted me, specifically asking for my maternity/newborn package and when I met her... Man, I nearly had a heart attack! She is so unbelievably beautiful, both inside and out; and the love she and Kalin share for each other and their unborn baby is unparalleled!
After Josie saw her gallery, I got an email saying "Oh my GOODNESS they are stunning!!!! I can't wait for bubs to be here to get ones of her and get them printed out!! You are amazing!!!" and it made my heart sing.
Pregnancy for many is not enjoyable, especially in the last few weeks. If I can make pregnant women feel beautiful even for just one evening... then I'm totally ok with that!
I can't wait to meet their little one in just a few short weeks, but until then... Here are some of my favourites from their sunset maternity session in Belair National Park.
